Annie Production

Today our client, Mrs Kent explained what she would like us to do. Brookfield is holding their annual school production, this year it's Annie. She would like our diploma group to take an active part in putting this whole show together. There are a number of roles that she has for each of us, they include...

* designers

* working log creators

* hair and make-up

* props manager

* FOH, publicity and primary school liaison - this is my role which I share with kia.

To do my role in this project I am going to have to generate ideas and consider the full potential of my role within this project. I will need to plan my time between now and the performances (2nd - 5th december) consider resources - who i will need to work with, what I will need to work with as well as working with a set budget. I will need to select the appropriate skills to ensure I meet deadlines and complete the work to a very high standard.

This job entails....

responsibilities;

- contacting the primary schools regarding a preview performance fo their pupils

- publicizing the event in line with the conditions of the performance license.

- creating foyer displays for the production

- working with student photographers to organize photo shoots for the cast and organize visual displays.

organizing advertising space for the program.

The Key members of staff ill be working with are mrs Kent and mrs Ross.

what my job is about;

* this year the production is hoping to sell discount tickets to our dress rehearsal ( helping ease the demand for the tickets and also allows earlier performance start so that a younger audience can enjoy the show too.)

* Allocate and distribute the tickets for this performance.

* I am also responsible for making sure the experience for the audience is pleasurable and informative from the moment they enter the hall. i will be organizing displays to go in the foyer area which are about the show. these will include photographs and deciding wether a short film should be shown about the making of this production.

* i will finally be writing to local businesses to see if they would like the opportunity to advertise in our program. I will need to use my english skills to do this area of the assignment.

For the rest of the day I got together with Kia to discuss what we should do and re-read the information so we understood what each process entailed.

Today i think I have listened well and understood what I have been asked to do. I have also thought about what will make me a success when doing this module.
