The first thing I did was set each deadline;
* A letter for the dress rehearsal performance to be drafted and to Mrs kent by Friday 16th october so this needs to be done first. I will need to use Word to create this and set the page out like a professional letter. I will need to used formal language and explain what I am writing to them for. I also need to attach slips which the will then photocopy and hand out to their pupils. To do this process I need to research the local junior schools that i think would be interested and then get their contact details so I cans end the letter. I also need to find out the name of the person I will be addressing the letter to (head-teacher.)
* Seating plans for the dress rehearsal must be discussed and be organized with Mrs Kent before half term. This needs to be done next because this is a large part - we need to measure the hall and consider safety aspects to this and how many people will be coming to this performance.
* speak to Ed Gent ( student photographer) and get the cast photographs organized as soon as possible. All principles must be photographed individually and into groups for the program and front of house displays. This needs to also be done soon because I need to organize with him the schedule which will be put in place and how capable he is - wether we need to introduce more photographers as the cast is large.
* Primary school should return the money to school (miss ross) by 18th november. I will then sort the tickets and return them no later than 27th november. This process will take a small amount of time because it is just sorting and recording the number of people who are coming, organizing their tickets and then giving them to Mrs ross to then send off to the junior schools.
* A letter advertising space should be drafted and given to Mrs kent no later than 9th october. i should have replies from the businesses by 23rd october. This process needs to be done after writing the dress rehearsal letter because the deadline for this is soon and this letter will take time to write because we need to research into the types of businesses that we would like to send the letter to and if it will be appropriate for them to advertise in our school program.
* All photographs and adverts need to be sorted by 11th november. This is so we can give Amy and Sophie the Amy the photographs and advert information to put into the program. This process will take some time because we will have to choose from a wide range of photographs that have been taken and we also need to have replies from businesses so that they can be put in the right places and so we know how much of the page they have purchased.
* I need to meet regularly with Amy and Sophie who are doing the program as they are responsible to put it together and we are giving them the cast photographs.
* i need to go through my plans for the foyer displays with mrs kent by 13th november. I need to organize a meeting. This will be me presenting to Mrs Kent my ideas and i also need to consider the space I have to work with and the resources I have to work with.
Today I think that I have worked well independently to come up with a week by week plan in detail of the precess i will need to do to reach the goal of that day. i also think i have worked well to assess the time we have, when things need to be done by and how i am going to do each thing so it is of a high standard for my client. This is one of my strengths - I am able to set myself goals and explain why I need to do it by this time.
PLATS:
* RL2 because I have set myself goals and acknowledged the outcome these goals will have.
* IE2 because I have planned the weeks - what im going to do and researched what I need to do for each process so i can set an appropriate time schedule.
