Annie Production step 5

Today my goal is to make sure all cast members see the photograph timetable as the deadline is soon and not all cast members have turned up. In addition to this today I am going to be writing to local business offering them the opportunity to advertise their company in our production program.

Fist of all we had a meeting and discussed what we would be achieving today and our goals. We also heard what everyone else has achieved so far and how they did it. This was helpful to know what everyone else was doing in the diploma. (SM2)

Today I learned how to create and send out a memo to the school. ( It was about the cast photographs and reminding them to check the board for their photograph dates. This is important because the cast needs to attend this if they want to be in the program.

Next, I looked at all the local businesses in our area using the internet. I then narrowed down the search - only making lists of the businesses that are relevant to the program and production or would benefit from advertising in the program. I then made a list of all the businesses that I will be sending letters to and created the letter that I will be sending to them. The letter i created gave them all the information they would need to know such as....

* what were writing to them about

* where we will be advertising their company

* how much of the program they can advertise in

* the costs of advertising

*what they will need to do

After doing this, because I had achieved what I needed to do today, I helped Sian and Jaz by helping paint the bundles cart, which they had made. (TW3) Then I put up the new schedule for the photographs which I had to edit because some of the cast members had missed their photograph times and a memo which I sent to all the tutor groups in the school. I did this by going to the year leader office and photocopying the memo which I had written earlier telling everyone that they MUST attend. I then placed all the memos in all the tutor pigeon holes which would be collected and then read out so that all cast members were informed.

I think that I have been a team-worker today because I asked questions to new people and learned new things. Also, today I worked by a deadline, if I did not send the memo out by 2:20 tutor groups would not get the memo and photographs would not have been able to take place on that day. Furthermore I think that my strengths today was team-work because I helped another group achieve their goal. In addition to this i also have shown the factors today which influenced chance (I finished my goals for today so I helped with another area of the project.)

Please can you check the board straight after school for photographs which are taking place throughout this week to be put in the program.

The photographs are VERY important!!!!!

If you miss these photographs you will NOT be included in the program!
