Record - Creative

Video Idea 1 Being a Teenager
My first idea is a short documentary about the typical life of a teenager. I think that this would be a good idea because it gives people an insight to what being a teenager is really like. I think that this video will help teenagers; they can realize these problems happen with other teenagers and they are not alone. In addition to this, teenagers will be able to empathize with this video.
I would film a teenager doing daily things for that they do and record all the things they do in their life for example - any clubs, activities and or social life. I would do this because it shows what they do in their day to day life. Basically, a teenagers daily life is boring and that is life however, sometimes it could be entertaining and an idea i have had is getting different teenagers, using the same time scale and showing how different people do different things for example; ways different people blow dry their hair.

I am going to aim this at male and female teenagers so it is relevant to both sex's.
Other youths on the Benchill estate
I would make this documentary between 5-10 minutes long. This documentary will cover what people really think about teenagers and what being one is really like.

This documentary would be for adults to see what being a teenager today is really like and also a teenager to show how similar a teenagers life is to each others. It will show moral stories and the tough options a teenager is faced with on a daily basis.

During this film I would need a lead person to play the teenager and they would star in this video. Also, this film would include other people at times as the main persons friends to show their social life.

I will devise a situation where somebody is peer pressured into doing something they don't want to do and they do it because their 'friends' pressure them into it. For this I would do it outside in a park because this is generally where teenagers go and hang out.
The teenager would be between 14-16 because this is the prime teenage years and as this is going on brookfield TV it will appeal to the majority of older students in the school.

Video Idea 2 How Popular Mobile Phones are:

Stock Photography: Man and Woman Talking by Mobile PhoneThis video would be a comical idea. It would be about how mobile phones are everywhere and everybody has and uses! Mobile phones are a social statement and also a daily part of life. As this is for Brookfield TV this is relevant because the school has recently allowed mobile phones. Mobile phones are also an unnecessary necessity - people panic if they don't have their mobile and some people cant live without their phone.

It would focus on 3 different generations of people and how they are all obsessed with mobile phones. For example - an elderly woman, a teenager and a young adult. I would show these 3 different generations because they vary and are all different but have one thing in common - mobile phones. I think this idea is good because the idea of an elderly person using a piece of modern technology would be comical. I would also use a range of different students within the ages of 13-18 because these are the ages when mobile phones are a huge part of a persons life. I would also use know people to our school like staff members and students.
Stock Photography: Group of Friends Taking a Picture TogetherIn addition to this, I would use shots from the streets and public places to show how people are everywhere, using their mobile phones.

I would research the history of a mobile and how every body feels like they need to have one and own the best design - I would do this by asking people there feelings on mobile phones and show short interviews on different opinions.

Video Idea 3 What its like to be a girl

This video will be about what it's like to be a girl, the challenges they have daily and what we really think as females.

It will include a video of 2 very different girls. One who is popular, has lots of friends and pretty. The second girl is going to be a loner who has hardly any friends. This shows the contrast of two people and how very different they are. This will have an impact on the audience and will be an interesting thing to view. Also, the 2 lives are going to be mirrored in a time scale and the video will switch between the two characters. This video is going to be a strong contrast between humor and serious issues of bullying and alienation - this is something that girls do to each other.

I hope that this video will be self reflective to make teenagers think about their own behavior. In addition I would like to make this film from the start - the stage where the two girls alarm clocks go off and through to the stage where they slam the door on the way out to school. In addition to this, the video will feature the girls voices of parents as they call up the stairs to their child or wake them up. You never see the parents in this video - it is a voice over. This is also going to explore the relationship between parents and the daughter...
*The lonely girl will have supportive, loving parents whilst the popular girl has an alcoholic father who is horrible. I think this will be a good twist in the video.

This video is going to be an insight into a girls life - all the things that happen. I would film some of this in a typical girls bedroom - showing the processes a teenage girl would go through every morning to get ready for school for example.

I plan to make this video because I think some people would find it interesting to know about a girls life in detail and give people an idea of what it's really like. This video will be serious and also funny - showing happy and sad elements in the video.

Video Idea 4 The most annoying celebrities!

This video is going to be about all the different celebrities that have been hot in the media for having mixed reactions - you either love them or hate them! I would do this by selecting up to 8 celebrities which people find annoying.
For example a celebrity idea would be justin Bieber - a singer who is loved and hated by many people. I would interview people about their opinions on the people i am going to use. I would then include a clip of Justin Bieber and record myself saying... do you think this is annoying?
I plan to make this video entertaining and comic - also having a sarcastic element showing clips of the celebrities I will be including - giving evidence why they are so annoying. Also, I am going to do flip sides of a celebrity - the good side ( a good image of the celebrity ) showing them doing something positive and looking glamorous. In contrast to this, i will then show the flip side of the celebrity, a bad picture showing them for example; falling out of a taxi and being sick. This will give the viewers strong feelings about the images and the video towards the celebrities.

In this video, I am also going to show more celebrities in the video who have been in the media eye a lot. I am also going to do a disclaimer - make up things which are not real and make interesting thing up to get the viewers of this video excited and talking about it - generating more publicity for Brookfield TV. For example... I will show a shot where it says - Do you love Justin Bieber?
Well did you know he had a sex change and is really a girl!

I am making this video because I think that this topic would relate to everybody and i would have a lot to talk about - I will get a lot of information on this topic and opinions from a number of people.

Video Idea 5 A dog isn't just for christmas

This video is going to be about following a puppies life fro the day its born into its senior years. By making this video I hope to give an insight into the shocking truth about how people think a puppy will never grow up and isn't hard work.

To do this I will be filming puppies in different stages as they grown and in different areas . For example; when they are a few days old and in their cage then when they are a few months old and playing in the garden.

I am making this video because I would like to show people how hard it is to have a dog and then show facts and statistics to shock the audience and show the real truth behind owning a dog.

Evaluation/Feasibility Study
I am now going to think and consider the difficulty levels it is going to be to produce these videos if it will be possible and I am also going to have to consider different elements before I take my planning further and make my final decisions. The type of things that I am going to have to consider are;
*Costs - I am working within a budget and I need to consider all the elements and materials I am going to need to source for this. I am going to have to see if I can use materials that are available at school and if I can borrow materials from people.
* Time - I need to consider my time scale and plan out what I need to do every week because I have a set deadline. If I choose a topic which is going to take a long time and is going to be difficult for me to do within in this time frame I either need to shorten the video - cutting ideas or choose another idea.
* Equipment - I need to make sure that I have all the correct equipment that I need to do this video and make a list of the things I will need to source for this video.
* Actors - I am going to need to source where I am going to get the people I need for my video and audition them to make sure they are right for the role in my video.
* Copyright - I also need to consider any elements that could be problematic for me during my filming and presenting the video stage and look at any thing that I have done which could be copyright.
* Legality - I need to consider the legal elements in my film. Is there anything inappropriate that will be shown on the the Brookfield TV?
* Locations - I need to decide all the possible places I could go to film for example; the beach, the woods, school and many more areas. I also need to consider if this will be a good place to film parts of my video.
* Transport - I have considered the transport issues to get to places where I can film and source materials, I know that transport is not an issue because we have the school mini bus.
* Own production skills - I need to assess what I can do with my camera, things I already know how to do and things I need to be taught and learn how to do. For example lighting, things I can do to improve the lighting when filming.
* How able am I - I also need to consider how well I can do things and if I have the abilities to do the things that I plan to do for the video.
* Editing software - I also need to know about the apple mac software for the process when I edit the videos and if I am able to do this without assistance.
* Worth watching - Is my video going to be exciting, well presented, targets the audience and is something which appeals to people so they will watch it.
* Suitability for the audience - I need to consider which video I am going to do so I can choose if it is suitable for the audience i have made it for and the age range - is there anything inappropriate in my video?
* Overall Purpose - I also need to consider what I want my video to do, what effect I want it to have on the audience and the reason I am making this video - Is it to make people aware of something?

Strengths and weaknesses:
Today I think that I have worked well to come up with feasible video ideas and after thinking of the ideas I then researched into them and considered all of the aspects of making, planning and producing the video. I have shown strengths in doing this and have shown i can research and produce evidence into all the different video ideas.

PLATS;
I have undertook a wide ranging investigation into the types of video I will consider doing and explain if they will be relevant and possible to do

IE1 - identified the specification for what we will be doing in this module
1E2 carried out wide ranging research into possible ides for a video.
IE5 - considered the influences the videos will have on an audience
CT1 - generated ideas and explained them thuroughly.

Annie Production step 9

Today I am going to be doing the final stages in this module. I will be sorting out the advertisements for the program, making sure that all the materials have arrived for doing the foyer next week and any other things my client would like to be done or edited.

Firstly I have assessed all of the work I have done so far and made sure that my partner and the other groups are up to date with what i am doing.

After this i then started organizing the advertising for the program. The feedback that we got was disappointing because I only got one reply from the letters that I sent.

The advertising that is going to be used in our program is from a company called Barbara's gifts and more. I am going to be giving all the information that they sent me to Amy so that she can put it into the program.

After I did this process I then measured out all of the materials which had arrived for the foyer designs, I am doing this process today because the foyer is going to be a big job so I though by measuring out all the boarder material and background material it will save time next week. I did this by going over to the main hall and measuring the space we had to do it again - to double check it was going to fit then I cut strips of border and measured how many pieces of sugar paper we would need to cover the boards.

Today I think I have assessed the time i have affectively because i cut out the materials ready to be put up straight away next week. Also today I have shown strengths by doing these things and monitored my progress with care.

Annie Production step 2

Furthermore today I also have to write a detailed letter to Mrs Kent showing all the processes I will be doing each week. This letter must include information that i need to do some processes, people I need to do something and any other information. Today when writing a letter which will be shown to Mrs Kent about how we are going to achieve all of our goals and when we are going to complete them by. (SM2). We did this by planning what we were going to do on a calender which we had printed out.

Then we planned out how we are going to go about organizing everything. Some things had to me done immediately and some things had to be done nearer the production date.

We had to prioritize the different tasks (EP2). After doing this we started on the business letter to local business's asking them if they want to advertise in Annie's program. Then we sent this to Mrs Kent to be edited. We prioritised this letter because we had to give the businesses a chance to think and respond to our letter. (SM3)

After this we then drafted a letter for the dress rehearsal performance, this had to be done by the 16th October. This also was sent to Mrs Kent to be edited. We did this in pages and made sure that all relevant information was included and was correct for Mrs Kent to overview and edit.

Copy Of my letter to Mrs Kent:

Dear Mrs Kent,

Our plans for the production jobs for the forthcoming weeks regarding contacting local businesses and school sorting out the FOH is as follows:

We are now drafting the letter(which will be emailed to you by 9th October) that will be distributed to local businesses regarding advertising space in the program for annie. We will go about this by approaching businesses and handing out the letter accordingly or sending it to them.

We have spoken to Ed Gent(student photographer) and arranged a meeting for next monday where we can discuss with him how we are going to go about arranging different cast members and taking there photograph for the program.

If its ok with you once we have organized different dates for the photos (and they not disrupt any other rehearsals) we could give you a time table that you could put up next to the rehearsal schedule for that week that way people can see it which saves giving tutors messages to the students involved. we will try and finish all the photos by 31st october as we do not want to do loads of people in one week.

We are also going to draft the letter which will be posted to the local primary schools. We are going to post this letter to as many primary schools as possible and see who is interested and can participate an then take a certain number from each school who is interested. this will have to be done by the 16th so we will work on this draft week beginning monday 12th.

When you come in for the hour to talk to us we will have planed the seating plan drafts and present them to you which you can then give us some constructive criticism and feedback to improve it and discuss it with us.

We will then need to talk to Miss Ross on wednesday 18th November to make sure that the primary schools have sent their letters saying they will be attending the production. After this has been done we will sort out the tickets and then will be returned either before or on November 27th.

Hopefully by the 23rd october we will be hearing back from the businesses and we then can work from there with the designers (Amy and Sophie) and then put them into the program where there is a space. Also the photo’s that we have been working on with Ed Gent will be finished and ready to give to Amy and Sophie (photographers) which they can then put into the program.

We will be going to sketch up plans for the foyer displays for the front of house. This needs to be done for the 13th November ( we are going to organize a meeting with you to discuss our ideas between 2nd and the 6th November if this is possible, if not what’s an appropriate time for you? ) For this part we need to go into the foyer and get and idea of the space we have and where everything will go using pictures in our drafts.

Today I think that I have worked well towards my goals and I have been well-focused and I undertook a wide range of investigating which will be going into the work i have planned and I have used highly relevant information for my role. i have also shown a detailed description into all the different processes and the time span we will have to do them by and also I have described the factors and things I need to do before i can approach each investigation.

annie Production step 10

Today is the final stage of the annie production module. Today I have to make sure that I have done all the processes my client has asked for and have a short briefing with her about what I need to do today and the help i am going to need. I am also going to be putting the foyer designs up for the production tomorrow night. This stage is going to take the longest and will be the hardest to do.

Firstly I wrote down questions that I wanted to ask my client, ready for the meeting -
* who has done the foyer designs before? (I am asking this question because if i need support today i could ask somebody that has done this process before. SM6 because I am seeking advice and support if needed.)

* Is there any last changes you would like to make to my designs?

* Is there anything specific that you would like to be added or done to the boards which has not already been done?

I had a meeting with Mrs Kent and i presented the ideas I have for the foyer and she gave me feedback, edited a few of my designs and we talked about how I was going to go about putting the materials into the hall. Firstly i focused on getting the photographs printed which would be going in the foyer. I have decided to use photos throughout the process in which the production was made - this includes auditions, rehearsals, the dress rehearsal and cast photographs. I have also decided to print out speech bubbles with key quotes from the show e.g 'oh my goodness, oh my goodness!' To make these speech bubbles i have to use Amy's speech bubbles which she created for the program and then enlarge them. i am using these designs because they go with the scheme of the program and I think this will link well and look nice.

Furthermore, I then printed images of Annie which was used on the front of the program; I am doing this because i want Annie's head to pop out of the boards making it look fun and good.
The next thing I have to do it collect the photographs from the school printer and then sort through over 100 photos - choosing
the best ones to be shown on the boards. This process took a long time because I had to think about the photographs, if they were really relevant to the show, portrayed the right image, looked good and were of a good quality to be shown to the general public. I also had to consider aspects like are they appropriate?

After this I could then go to the main hall and start to decorate the boards. I had to decide wether to use a staple gun to stick the large sheets
of sugar paper to the background or blue-tac. I decided to use a staple gun because it is better and will stay.
Then I measured the boards so i knew where to cut the borders, I then stapled them onto the background. The colour schemes I have chosen are red and gold - the background is red, the color of Annie's dress and gold that links well with the red.

Finally, I can stick the photographs and captions onto the boards. I sorted the photographs into groups, mixing the boards up into sections, auditions, cast members and two boards for performance pictures. I think after I finished the boards looked good and professional. they stood out and gathered atten
tion from the students at my school - this is how I know that the boards were successful. This process took a long time and was quite difficult because I had to decide where everything was going to go and also how they will be noticed and I had to pay attention to detail. Today I have advised and told everyone what i would like them to do and all the things that I want them to do. I have supervised the foyer today - I think that this is a strength.

Overall, this module I think that I have worked consistently well in my job role, I have regularly assessed wether I am on track and I have made huge efforts to get the outcome which I have had and I have assessed myself - showing all my strengths and weaknesses during this module. In addition I have undertaken a wide range of investigations producing good quality work and I have provided detailed descriptions showing the developments I have made and worked well within a period of time and shown factors which have influenced change for example the cast photographs when I had to make extra time for them to be done because they didn't go to plan.

Annie Production step 8

Today i am going to be designing the foyer, gathering the information that will let me do this and getting all my resources together and plan them all - i will also need to measure how much room i am going to have to do this. Furthermore I need to order materials which I am going to use.

Firstly I made a draft and planned ideas which would be good for the foyer designs. I have contributed imaginative ideas like using captions and photographs from all the stages in making Annie.

I have explored my ideas thoroughly - I have made sure that they will fit in the main hall and researched into the safety issues. I have to keep the fire
exits clear in-case of a fir it is also a legal issue, this meant that I had to re-do one of my designs to another area.

After this I went to the main hall to check I had enough room to do what i want to do. To do this i had to use a ladder and a tape measure to measure the boards and the size of the room if tables and extra boards will be able to fit into he room because there will be a refreshment stand also in the hall. I also recorded notes on all the measurements, area available and the things that were already there that we could use to put things like images on. I also went through the safety aspects and things which I could and couldn't do for example -

* are the boards able to be moved after the performances and for the school day?
* can the boards be kept in the lynx corridor or will we cover the displays to make more boards available in the main hall?

After doing this I made my final designs for the foyer, they consist of 5 boards all showing pictures and snippets of information about the show. I also want to put photographs onto the doors of the main hall so when the seating area is closed they don't just see doors; photographs are on them.
PLTS...
* IE1 because I asked responsible questions about safety and restricted areas and resolved these problems by designing the foyer to fit these requirements.
* CT1 because I explore all the possibilities of the foyer designs.
* EP3 because I broke down how I was going to do all the things that needed to be done to make the foyer safe and within requirements.

Today I think that I have taken my job role well, I have reached my goals and carried out vital processes for the show which i am taking responsibility for. I have also kept to my schedule and planned the available time well.

In addition to this I have generated creative ideas and evaluated all aspects to every design - is it possible to do? Also, I am aware that i am responsible for the foyer decorations and they need to be done well and look effective to promote and make the audience and public excited about the show before-hand.

Annie Production step 7

Today I was getting the ticket information back from the junior school. The next thing i will need to do to this information is record it onto a spreadsheet and then give it to Carol Ross to then sort the tickets and send them to the junior schools. Furthermore today I need to order some materials for the foyer designs so that it can be put up in 2 weeks time.

Firstly I made a tally of all the schools and how many tickets they all wanted. This was quite easy and i think i did it quickly and well - checking that I had counted every ticket request.

After doing this i recorded my information onto a spreadsheet - making a table of the different schools, how many tickets they wanted and how much each school owed. I think that this process will take a long time because it needs to be very precise and I have to make sure that all of the information I am putting into the spreadsheet is right.

Then, after I did this i gave it to Carol Ross who then did the further processes. Today I think that I took on my responsibilities well and i worked well to a time schedule because I finished everythng that i had to do. However, a weakness which I have today was being able to record the information onto the spreadsheet as i had to re-do some of the numbers because I missed out tallies. Overall i think that I have made a consistent effort to do this process.

Annie Production step 6

Today because I have finished all of the things which i needed to do by this week and am ahed of schedule i am going to be helping Amy and Sophie to plan the program. I will need to organize each page and how it will be set out and the style it is going to be. I did this process in pages.

Firstly
I made a plan on paper of which cast member was going to go on each page, what pictures, how large were the pictures going to be and where they will be positioned on the page. After doing this draft I then developed my draft and added more information and detail.

After doing this process i gave it to Amy to check and give me feedback and tell me her own ideas. After doing this I made a plan of all the photographs and how they were going to be set out and the size of them. I also needed to consider the captions on the photographs.

I based my plan on the program from the previous year, researching what they had done and the things they had included. This gave me good ideas and also helped me because i have never done anything like this before. today i think i have learnt how to do new things like plan a program and also i think i have a good strength in planning things like this. i also thing i worked well as a team with Amy today, giving each other advice and feedback. Furthermore, today I have learned how to take information from an old piece of work and edit it to make a new piece of work relevant to the topic. Also I have learned to carry out research appreciating the consequences of my decisions and overall today I have worded hard and well and I have acquired new skills. However my weakness today was not being able to record the results onto another record sheet without making mistakes - meaning I had to check it carefully numerous times however, because I am ahead of schedule I was able to do this and not loose time making me behind schedule. Despite this; the overall outcome of today was posotive because I am on target for reaching my goals and I have also learned how to do new things giving me new skills and qualities which I can use further in this project.
