Campaign Module 8th December

Today I am going to continuing with my own gurilla and advertising campaigns.
The first thing I did was create a draft of my idea to make business cards which will make people aware of the comedy festival but not reveal too much information.

I then started to draft my first design. I considered aspects when I designed the cards that would be relevant to include;

- the LOL logo - this would make people think about what it is and what it could mean (be advertising)
- the date of the comedy festival - the date would be printed on one side of the card in large bold letters. This would be the only thing on this side of the card and make people think about what is happening on this date.
- slogan - on the other side of the business card I will print the slogan - will you be there? This short sentence will entice the reader and make them think about where the card wants you to be.

The whole idea of the business card is to get people interested and wondering what it is about. Finally it will then lead on well because the next stage of the advertising will be to put up posters about the comedy festival and auditions.

To make the business cards I needed a logo, so I started to design a logo and a campaign name.

This would go on all of the things related to the campaign and people will the recognise it. The things that I will need to consider when doing this are...

- Summarising what the campaign is going to be about within the logo

- it has to be a comical design so it fits with the comedy theme

- it has to be related to comic relief, the logo has to link in with this organization

- the logo should be different and not been used before.

The next thing I did was re-draft my business cards with the logo and then presented my idea and logo to the group. I then received feedback and discussed the things that I needed to change on the cards and the logo. After this I then did a final draft of the cards and got them take to reprographics get one set printed so i could then evaluate how they would turn out. An error I found was that I needed to make the pages double sided so it will be easier to print them and = they will not need to be stuck together.

Overall today I have worked well to produce my gurilla idea. I have shown strengths in being able to change my layout idea to make it easier to be printed and mass produce. In addition today I have designed the cards well so they reveal a small amount of information about the comedy festival. Furthermore, I have worked on my strengths from the previous being able to work well as a group, we all merged or LOL logo designs together to create the final one.
